Hope for Change:  A Biblical Look at Poverty, Redistribution, and Worldview

Presented by Tim Williams, Disciple Nations Alliance

Synopsis: The biblical worldview is the only worldview that has the ability to develop individuals, families, or nations who are free, just, and prosperous.  In a culture of increasing relativism, the history of ideas and societies shows that all cultures and worldviews are inevitably unequal.  If America and the West wander further away from a biblical foundation, it will result in our destruction.  The biblical worldview also gives insight into the role of resources and the currently counter-intuitive solution to global poverty.

Bio: Tim Williams is a ‘05 Wheaton College grad with a major in Christian ministry who came across the DNA in 2004.  Since then, I have come to accept that the biblical worldview is the only worldview that has the ability to create individual, familial, or national freedom, justice, and prosperity - and I’m thrilled to be a part of the team that now works to spread these messages.  I have struggled as I watch America and many Christians follow in the footsteps of the larger Western society which is rejecting the biblical worldview as the framework for their society.  I have traveled to South Africa, Ghana, South Korea, Honduras, England, Switzerland (and of course Mexico & Canda).  My wife is a graduate of UNC-Greensboro with a major in Special Education.  We have our first child on the way–Madison Jo Williams due on April 21st.  We also have a heart for the intellectually disabled in Ghana, West Africa who are largely neglected and rejected by their families and societies.  To find out more about our ministry go to disciplenations.org and especially check out what’s new on our blog.
